Carer friendly community
The council aims to develop a carer-friendly community. We want to help carers live independently for as long as possible with the person cared for, by using statutory and voluntary services.
Staff are encouraged to signpost carers to appropriate services.
- Promotes Carers Rights Day at Runnymede Borough Council
- Signposts members of staff who are carers to information and services as appropriate
- Works with Runnymede Carers Support to advertise Runnymede Borough Council services and provide transport for outings for carers.
