Community alarms

Help at the touch of a button

Our Community Alarms service is exactly that – help at the touch of a button. Through a discreet device worn around the neck or wrist this round the clock monitored service gives emergency assistance, support, and reassurance to those who most need it, when they most need it.

On any alarm being triggered the user is immediately connected to our local Control Centre where an experienced operator will be ready to help. They will establish what assistance, if any, is required and arrange support either by calling a nominated contact or the emergency services.

Who can use this service?

Community alarms are designed to support people of any age who may feel vulnerable in their home. This can include older people, those with a physical, sensory or learning disability, those at risk of falling, patients who have recently left hospital, or victims of crime who would benefit from extra peace of mind.

Anyone who signs up to the service will be assessed by a member of the team. This ensures that each alarm package is tailored around their needs. So, in addition to the standard alarm and smoke detector provided, other monitored equipment can be offered such as fall alarm, bed sensors and pill dispensers.

More detailed information on our sensors and monitors can be found in the telecare section
