Household Collections

Recycling

Recycling is collected fortnightly. Place your blue lidded recycling bin at your property boundary by 6am on collection day. Communal bins are collected from the bin area, so there’s no need to move them.

Please do not put food waste, textiles or small electrical items (including batteries) in your recycling bin.

Recyclable items can be grouped into these categories

  • Mixed paper & card (no tissues or kitchen roll)
  • Glass bottles & jars
  • Aluminium & steel cans
  • Plastic bottles, pots, tubs & trays (no plastic bags or wrapping)

Important Guidelines

  • Clean: Empty and clean bottles, jars, and cans before recycling.
  • Dry: Keep items dry; no wet paper or card.
  • Loose: All items must be loose; do not bag items in your bin.
