Service to the community award
Celebrating people in the Borough who go out of their way to improve the lives of others and recognises those who foster good relationships and encouraged positive community spirit. Need not be a volunteer, it could be someone in paid employment who goes over and above in their role to support to the community.
Volunteer of the year
Volunteers over the age of 21 years old who have made a difference in their community through giving their time voluntarily for the benefit of others and demonstrated their outstanding commitment to their role.
Young volunteer of the year
Volunteers under the age of 21 years old who have made a difference in their community through giving their time voluntarily for the benefit of others and demonstrated their outstanding commitment to their role.
Volunteer group of the year
Organisations or groups of volunteers who have demonstrated great teamwork, provided support and encouragement for other volunteers, and made a significant and positive impact through working together
Triumph over adversity
Individual of any age who have demonstrated courage, bravery, determination and strength during unimaginable circumstances and is an inspiration to others.
Environmentalist and climate change award
Individual or group of people who have provided a service to improve the environment for the benefit of their local community.
