Playing Pitch Strategy 2025
Runnymede Borough Council is currently preparing the next iteration of the Runnymede Local Plan which will set out the level of development required in the Borough over the plan period and where this should be located.
The Playing Pitch Strategy (PPS) includes the research and analysis of playing pitch provision and usage within Runnymede. It provides a strategic framework for the maintenance and improvement of existing outdoor sports pitches and ancillary facilities, in line with population projections. It will then be used to ensure that there is a good supply of high-quality playing pitches and playing fields to meet the sporting needs of local communities as far as possible. By providing valuable evidence and direction, the PPS will be used to help provide significant benefits to a wide variety of interested parties.
The 2025 version replaces the previous 2018 Strategy available on 2030 Local Plan Evidence Base documents webpage.
