Pre-application information - Themes and Runnymede priorities
Please read prior to completing the funding application.
The focus of the RHCP is to reduce health inequalities by addressing the Wider Determinants of Health. By reviewing local data and guidance, the following three themes have been developed, and these have formed the three Workstreams of the partnership. The priorities for Runnymede have been identified within each of these themes and should be considered when applying for funding.
Theme 1 - Healthy Behaviours
Support people to engage in healthy behaviours and to manage unhealthy behaviours. These behaviours include diet, activity, smoking, substance use/misuse.
Priorities identified in Runnymede:
- healthy weight and activity
- support with alcohol and drug misuse
- falls prevention
Theme 2 - Healthy Minds
Support people to manage their mental and emotional health and wellbeing. This includes all age groups - adults, children and young people, addressing isolation and the importance of early intervention.
Priorities identified in Runnymede:
- access early help
- resources and support for adults, children and young people at risk of and with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues
- social isolation
- benefits of community support
Theme 3 - Healthy Lives
Influence environmental, economic, and social factors and help people to access support to improve health and wellbeing. This includes factors such as poverty, employment, skills and education, housing, transport, crime and safety.
Priorities identified in Runnymede:
- basic needs such as food security, poverty, housing strategy etc.
- being safe and feeling safe, such as community safety including domestic abuse, safeguarding
- transport
