Background
The Runnymede Healthy Communities Partnership (RHCP) is a place-based Health and Wellbeing partnership supported by North West Surrey (NWS) Alliance and coordinated at borough level.
The purpose is to bring together system wide partners with the collective aim of improving health and wellbeing outcomes for the communities we serve and to reduce health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health.
Membership of the RHCP is made up of partners from across the system including health and social care, borough and county council officers and members, voluntary sector, charitable, community and faith organisations and residents.
Proposals for projects and interventions will be discussed within the RHCP to identify opportunities for collaborative working, including sharing of resources and ways to improve efficiency, extend or improve delivery.
The RHCP will be guided by three Themes:
- Healthy Behaviours
- Healthy Minds
- Healthy Lives
Three Workstreams based on these themes are attended by members of the partnership to collaborate and develop proposals for provision around each theme. Runnymede Community Action Groups (CAGs) and existing Forums that have representation at the RHCP can also submit proposals to the partnership for consideration.
The NWS Alliance has allocated £50,000 of place-based funding to the Council, to support the delivery of projects associated with this work. This funding is non-recurrent.
Funding awards for project proposals discussed within the RHCP can be applied for once approved by the partnership.
