Community Grant Scheme

The Community Grant Scheme is inviting resident groups, voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises, both based in or serving residents of the borough of Runnymede, to apply for funding for new projects or expansions to existing projects.

The maximum amount that can be applied for is £5,000

The deadline to submit applications is 25 January 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date.

All applications will be reviewed initially by a panel of officers, together with the Chair and Vice Chair of Community Services Committee, and the Chair or Vice Chair of Environmental Services Committee.

The final decision on grant awards will be made by elected members at a meeting of Community Services Committee on 11 March 2026. The decision of the committee will be final.

You will be informed of the outcome of your application after the above process is complete.

Criteria

All questions on the application form must be answered. Incomplete forms will not be able to be submitted through our portal.

We strongly recommend that you view the grant guidance document and that you draft your application in Word ready to copy over your answers and submit them using the online form when you are ready. Each page of the online application form will timeout after 30 minutes.

The Community Grant Scheme is an annual scheme where one off funding can be applied for, up to a maximum value of £5,000.

An organisation can submit more than one application to the Community Grant Scheme.

What will not be funded:

  • Individuals
  • Projects that have started or incurred expenditure before receipt of Grant/Grant is confirmed
  • Projects originating from organisations who do not have a bank account

In considering any application, the Community Grant Scheme Panel will consider existing facilities/projects of a similar nature already providing support to residents of Runnymede.  

You will be required to complete a monitoring form when your project finishes or within six months of receiving the Community Grant Scheme Grant. Failure of provide monitoring information may render your group ineligible to apply for future grants.

Applications are welcome from resident groups, voluntary and community organisations, and social enterprises, both based in or serving residents of the borough of Runnymede, to apply for funding for new projects or expansions to existing projects.
