Household recycling and rubbish collections

Find out what can go in your bins, what your waste collection day is, and about bulky and clinical waste collections. Please be aware that your bin needs to be placed at the boundary of your property by 6am on your collection day. Collection dates remain the same throughout the year with the exception of the Christmas and New Year period when a special timetable is released.

You can find out your bin collection days by entering your postcode.

We also offer weekly collections of most unwanted small electrical items and textiles.

We are unable to empty any recycling bins that have non-recyclable material inside. To check if an item can go into your recycling bin use the online recycling search tool or download the Recycle For Surrey app to your smartphone. If your bin is marked by our crews as contaminated, you will need to remove any objects we cannot collect as part of our recycling service before your next collection day.

There are certain items we are unable to accept in blue-lidded recycling bins. Please check below to find out what we can and cannot recycle in Runnymede.
