Clinical waste and sharps collection
We provide a free fortnightly clinical waste collection service for residents treating themselves in their own home.
Healthcare waste which is infectious or hazardous is classed as 'clinical waste' and must be collected separately for safe disposal. Your doctor or nurse will tell you if your waste should be collected separately and provide you with a coloured sack to put it in, this will usually be orange or yellow. If you have sharps, they should provide you with a yellow sharps box.
Healthcare waste that is not hazardous or infectious can be put in your normal black rubbish bin. Further information can be found on Surrey County Council website
If your black bin is too small for your medical needs contact us on 01932 838383 to apply for additional 140 litre black bin.
