Small grants opportunity for schools and community groups
As part of the Runnymede Grows campaign, the Council is offering one off grants to schools and community groups to allow the establishment of food growing initiatives or to expand existing initiatives. This grant funding scheme aims to make a positive difference to the borough by supporting the vital work of schools and local organisations in supporting wider communities to realise the benefits associated with growing fresh produce.
Grants are limited to £500 per school/community organisation. At least 20 awards will be made by the Council. Following the first round of applications, the Council is pleased to announce that 16 awards have now been made with a total value of £7,792.
