Upskilling and Employment

Room for Work

This employability support programme helped job seekers and career changers get back into work. With sessions covering CV writing, interview techniques, and digital skills, 18 residents completed the 12-week programme, and five progressed into sustainable employment.

Tech Angels

Designed to bridge the digital divide, this project supported 40 residents with low digital confidence or access. Volunteers provided one-to-one support, helping more people engage online and reduce isolation.

Open Doors careers programme

Delivered by Surrey Careers Hub, this initiative gave 200 school pupils in years seven to nine the opportunity to visit local employers. It helped them learn about career pathways, skills requirements, and real-life workplaces.
