Community improvements

Benches, bins, and woodchippers

New public furniture and maintenance equipment were installed across the borough. These helped keep our neighbourhoods clean and supported a more pleasant and environmentally friendly local environment.

Wayfinding in Chertsey

New signage was introduced in Chertsey town centre to help visitors find local landmarks, highlight shopping and hospitality areas, and encourage exploration on foot. These improvements aimed to support the high street and local businesses by improving accessibility.

Shop front improvements

Several shop fronts across the borough were upgraded thanks to grants, helping revitalise the appearance of our town centres. These improvements were intended to support increased footfall, promote shopping locally, and contributed to stronger high streets

Pooley Green play area upgrade

As part of wider public space improvements, the Pooley Green play area received new equipment, safer surfacing, and a more accessible layout. This made the area safer and more welcoming for local families.
