Work experience

How to apply

We are  looking for people who are keen to learn and willing to get stuck in and try new things. You do not need to have had a job before, but a polite and friendly personality is essential. We are particularly interested in applications from those looking to pursue a career in the public sector.

Due to the high demand of applications, the work experience application form has been temporarily paused.

We are passionate about building an inclusive and diverse workforce and we welcome individuals with a variety of backgrounds, skills and abilities. If it is difficult for you to apply online contact Human Resources on email humanresources@runnymede.gov.uk or telephone 01932 838383 and they will be able to assist you.

There may be instances where we are unable to accommodate work experience requests. Work experience requests are reviewed periodically, please refer to the timetable for further information.

Runnymede Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults with care support needs and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be requested to present your identification and there will be several checks conducted during the onboarding process inclusive of an enhanced DBS check for specified roles.

Thank you for considering Runnymede Borough Council.

We are a flexible employer, with a range of family-friendly policies, good benefits and, where appropriate, adopt a hybrid approach to the workplace. We are transforming the way we work – so it’s an interesting time to take up a role in local government.
