Residents health and wellbeing

Following changes to how health services are commissioned in England, Surrey County Council, with support from us, has new responsibilities for public health.

We are keen to encourage everyone in the borough to lead active, healthy lives. Many of the services we offer have this in mind. Our leisure services, offer you parks and open spaces, leisure centres and sporting facilities. The work our environmental health teams do to ensure the places you eat out at are hygienic. We have everyone's health and wellbeing at heart.

You will find more about the services we offer throughout our website. If you are interested in doing more to make sure you eat well, move more and live longer, the Change4Life or NHS Choices websites have practical advice.

For information on personal health matters, with a Surrey flavour, such as stopping smoking or health checks take a look at Healthy Surrey website and find out what local support is available in your area on Surrey Information Point website.

Raising a safeguarding concern

If you are concerned for the safety of a child or an adult with care and support needs who is experiencing or at risk of experiencing abuse or neglect you should contact the Children’s Single Point of Contact (C-SPA) or the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub
