What does this mean for the Local Plan?

The new Local Plan, as far as it is able to do so, and without repeating national decision-making policies (NDMPs) should retain, strengthen and/or implement policies/actions to minimise the risks to the historic environment by proactively planning for its protection/enhancement and enjoyment whether through policies, allocations or design guides/codes. The Local Plan should also include policies/actions to protect/enhance cultural assets and opportunities to improve access to cultural facilities/services.
