Helping us understand the issues and needs of our borough to inform the new Runnymede Local Plan.
Welcome to the Runnymede Digital Place Portrait
This digital portrait enables users to easily and simply access layers of information, data and narratives, and also signposts users to other evidence which provides baseline information about Runnymede.
The tool helps paint a portrait about Runnymede: what kind of place it is at the moment, and what its needs are – both now and in the future - which a new Local Plan could help address. It is supported by more detailed baseline information provided in evidence such as the Sustainability Appraisal (SA) Scoping Report, the Housing and Economic Development Needs Assessment (HEDNA), and the Open Space Study.
It can be used to build a picture of the Borough as a whole, as well as its settlement areas. It is a ‘living’ portrait, and will evolve over time as new information becomes available.
To develop insights about Runnymede, the tool explores a number of locally specific matters, including:
- physical, economic, social and environmental characteristics of Runnymede;
- the principal land uses in Runnymede;
- the size, composition, and distribution of the population of Runnymede;
- the key communications, transport networks and traffic trends of Runnymede;
- the capacity of Runnymede’s existing infrastructure such as schools and healthcare facilities.
