Help cut pumpkin waste
Every year over a quarter of all Halloween pumpkins in the UK end up being thrown away - that’s 18,000 tonnes of food waste.
When you have finished carving your pumpkin cut the flesh into manageable chunks and store it in the fridge or simply freeze the flesh so that you can bake something tasty at a later date.
Remember, once you have scooped out your pumpkin, eaten all you can, had fun making scary lanterns, pop your leftovers in your food caddy and play your part in a cleaner, greener future. Pumpkins left at the side of food waste caddies will not be collected.
Eat your pumpkin
There are lots of delicious ways to eat your pumpkin - take a look at some of these recipes for inspiration.
