Guildford Street improvements

Drawing of improvements to Guildford Street, Chertsey

Nearly £500,000 of funding is available for improvements to Guildford Street (North), much of it from the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF). A requirement of the funding is that the improvements must be completed, and the money spent, by April 2025.

This consultation is now closed.

The SPF funding must be spent by April 2025.

It is essential therefore that any proposed public realm improvements can be delivered within this time-scale. Runnymede Borough Council is therefore working closely with Surrey County Council to see whether it is feasible in the next 12 months to put in place the necessary legal measures needed to deliver all the proposals.
