Allotments waiting list

A rod is a unit of measurement traditionally used for allotment plots. One rod is approx. 25 square metres, five rods is approx. 125 square metres, and 10 rods is approx. 250 square metres.

The cost of an allotment is £22.00 per 25 square metres (rod) per year, increasing to £25.00 from 1 April 2026. An age-related discount is available for plotholders who have reached state pension age (proof of age will be required). Please note that, effective 1 April 2026, this discount will be reduced from 50% to 25%. Additionally, a key deposit of £10.00 applies.

From 1 April 2026, a £3.00 transaction fee will also apply if payment is not made by Direct Debit.

Most plots in Runnymede are between five and 10 rods (125 and 250 square metres), however, the standard plot size is five rods.
