Solar together
Are you interested in installing solar panels on your property and generating your own electricity? Do you want to benefit from reduced installation costs through a group buying scheme?
The Solar Together scheme enables Surrey residents to collectively purchase solar PV, battery storage units and electric vehicle charge points reducing the upfront costs of these initiatives through collective purchasing and is returning for a fourth phase from 2 June 2025.
It is free to register for the scheme and there is no obligation to go ahead with installations. For most homes, solar panels are classed as permitted development, so planning permission is not required, although you should always check.
To benefit from the Solar Together scheme, residents have until 8 August 2025 to register interest and from 29 July to 19 September 2025 to decide whether to proceed with the offer received. Installations are scheduled to be completed by March 2026.
