On 18 March 2025, the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Forum submitted a request for a Community Governance Review concerning the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Area. The request proposed the establishment of a parish council for the area.
Following this, a report was presented to the Corporate Management Committee on 10 July 2025 and subsequently approved by Full Council on 17 July 2025. As a result, the Terms of Reference and Timetable for the review were formally adopted.
As part of the Community Governance Review, the council is now seeking your views on whether a parish council should be created for the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Area. A leaflet has been distributed to households in the Englefield Green East and West wards to explain the proposal and encourage feedback.
Note: Local government reorganisation is also underway, which will replace Runnymede Borough Council with a larger unitary authority covering a wider area.
