If a tenant owes rent for eight weeks or more, we will pay Housing Benefit directly to the landlord unless we consider it is in the tenant's best interest not to do so.
Please write to us if your tenant owes you eight weeks or more rent, so we can decide what action to take - you can use the Landlord direct form
We will need to see evidence of the arrears, which we will aim to confirm with the tenant. You will also need to confirm you agree to accept the payment and that you understand your responsibilities.
Once the arrears have been cleared, the payments must revert back to your tenant.
