Congratulations to our tenants who placed in this years Greenfingers of Runnymede!
The annual event is held by Runnymede Borough Council for all its residents to enter. The competition is sponsored by Squire’s Garden Centre which gave the winning entries vouchers for their stores.
The categories included: best front garden, best allotment, best school garden, best community garden, and best newcomer. A new category of most wildlife friendly was sponsored by Thorpe Councillor, Cllr Linda Gillham.
This year, our tenants came:
- Mr Brian Reed, 1st for the best front garden
- Mrs Angela Perks, 3rd for the best front garden, and 3rd for the best newcomer
- Miss Nicola Haire, 3rd for the best allotment
- Mrs Louise Pole, 1st for the best newcomer
It was great to see our tenants contribute to the enhancement of the Borough.
