Consultation Feedback: New Tenant Handbook
A new Tenant Handbook have been prepared to offer tenants all necessary information in a clear and concise manner.
We approached members of the three tenant groups (Repairs and Maintenance, Neighbourhood and Communities, Communications Readers) on 3 August to give feedback on the draft of the document and offered two layouts to choose from. The Groups were able to access the two designs online.
The questions asked of the tenants were:
- Which layout did you find more informative/appealing?
- How did you find the text – is it easy to read/understand? If not, could you please help us to rephrase the content that is not clear?
- Do you think that all necessary information is in the draft? If not, what should be added?
- Can you let me know your overall opinion on the Handbook, please?
Meanwhile, we consulted AutismByExperience on both the content of the Handbook, and the different designs. Thanks to their feedback and changes to the text, the readability has increased considerably.
The respondent rate from tenant group members was 48%. All of these respondents preferred the first layout, which is very similar to our main Housing webpage: pictures, followed by titles under. All respondents were also happy with the text; they found it clear and readable. The overall opinion on the Handbook was good. There were several proposals regarding the content, such as adding useful contact information, and some practical advice. All feedback is being checked and, if feasible, incorporated into the new Handbook.
We would like to thank all those who participated in this project for their time and kind assistance.
