The Council is committed to hearing and acting on the voice of residents. In addition to consultations, surveys and the three active residents groups, the Council’s new Tenant Experience Panel has been set up for residents to influence decisions made about Housing services.
There are currently 7 members and they are being supported by Engagement experts TPAS to carry out their first scrutiny - the complaints process. Their recommendations will be presented to the Housing Committee to approve next steps. TPAS defines scrutiny as a resident-led process to hold landlords to account by reviewing and examining their services and influencing improvements.
