Virginia Water Neighbourhood Plan approved by voters in local referendum

Runnymede Borough Council welcomes the result of the referendum, in which residents voted in favour of the Virginia Water Neighbourhood Plan. More than 97% of votes cast were in support of the plan.

Neighbourhood Plans give communities the opportunity to help shape planning policies and guide future development in their local area.

The Virginia Water Neighbourhood Plan covers a range of local issues and priorities relating to the future of the area. Following this result, the Council will now move forward with the formal process required to formally adopt the plan so it can be used in planning decision-making across Virginia Water.
