Residents are being invited to take part in a public consultation on a proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) relating to dog control across the borough.
Public Space Protection Orders are used by councils to help manage specific issues in public spaces and ensure they can be used and enjoyed by everyone. In Runnymede, the proposed PSPO would focus on dog-related controls, including:
- Dog fouling
- Keeping dogs on leads where required
- Excluding dogs from enclosed children’s play areas
The consultation is an opportunity for residents to share their views on the proposed measures and help inform any decisions taken by the Council.
Consultation period: 1 February to 28 February 2026.
