Nominations open for the 2026 Runnymede Civic Awards

Runnymede Civic Awards 2026

It’s that time of year again when we celebrate the people who make Runnymede shine.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Runnymede Civic Awards, recognising residents who go above and beyond for our community — from volunteers making a difference to individuals excelling in sport, art, culture or helping others to thrive.

With 19 award categories across Community, Sports and Physical Activity, and Arts — including awards for young people under 18 — this is your chance to highlight the amazing people and groups making a positive impact in Runnymede.

The small gesture of nominating someone could mean the world to them and could see them shortlisted, highly commended, or even walking away with a Civic Award!

The Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Margaret Harnden said: “The Civic Awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who make Runnymede such a special place to live and work. Each year we hear stories of kindness, dedication and community spirit that remind us how much good there is in our borough. I am honoured to recognise those who go above and beyond for others.”

Becky Coffin, Communities and Sustainbility Director at Heathrow Airport said: “We are proud to sponsor the Runnymede Civic Awards, celebrating the unsung heroes who make a real difference across the borough. Recognising their contributions is so important — and as a neighbour, we’re dedicated to working alongside our communities to help them thrive.”

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to a special awards ceremony at Thorpe Park on Tuesday 10 March 2026, celebrating all those who make Runnymede such a fantastic place to live, work and visit.
