By-election results in Addlestone

Three by-elections were held in Addlestone yesterday, to fill two seats on Runnymede Borough Council and one on Surrey County Council.

Voting closed at 10pm last night and in the early hours of the morning the results were declared.

The successful candidates for the two Runnymede Borough Council seats in the Addlestone South ward were:

  • Scott Michael Kelly, Reform Party, 467 votes
  • Sam Jonathan Newman, Reform Party, 414 votes.

The two new councillors will join Cllr Steve Eldridge in representing the people living in this ward.

The turnout for these two by-elections was 28 per cent.

In the by-election for one seat in the Addlestone Division on Surrey County Council, the successful candidate was Scott Michael Kelly, who received 931 votes.

The turnout for this by-election was 24 per cent.
