As Mr Furey was also a county councillor, a third by-election will be held to fill the vacant seat on Surrey County Council in the Addlestone division.

This means electors living in the area covered by the Addlestone South ward will be able to vote twice on the Runnymede Borough Council ballot paper and once on the Surrey County Council ballot paper.

Electors living in other parts of Addlestone will only be able to vote in the county council by-election.

Runnymede Borough Council is responsible for running both the borough council and county council by-elections.

If you are eligible to vote and are on our register of electors, you will receive a polling card which will tell you where to vote in person or how to apply for a postal or proxy vote.
