Do you want to take local action on climate change and connect with like-minded residents across Runnymede?
To mark Great Big Green Week 2025, we’re launching a Community Environment Champions Network and are looking for volunteers to get involved. This is a great opportunity to share your sustainability ideas, learn from others, and help inspire change across the borough.
Whether you’re already part of a local group, involved in eco-friendly initiatives, or simply passionate about the environment, we’d love for you to join the network.
The Environment Champions Network is all about connecting individuals and community groups to share knowledge, tips, and real-life successes. It aims to bring together people who are making a difference so that great ideas can travel further with the Council playing a supporting role to help these connections grow.
The focus of the network is on collaboration, peer learning, amplifying what already works, and exploring new ideas with passionate environmental advocates. If you have experience, enthusiasm or even just curiosity, this is your chance to contribute to a more sustainable Runnymede.
Applications open from 9 June 2025.
