As part of the development of the Local Plan, there will be a need to allocate sites for new homes and employment land and potentially supporting infrastructure.
Submit any suggestions for sites that you think should be considered when we are development the Local Plan.
What has happened so far
The Council undertook a Call for sites for the 2025 SLAA from Wednesday 17 September 2025 until Sunday 19 October 2025. The next Call for Sites is due to take place between 7 September 2026 and 12 October 2026, as part of the ‘scoping consultation’ on the new Local Plan.
As part of the SLAA process, sites can be suggested for housing, employment, retail, leisure/tourism, health, Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Local Green Space (LGS) and other supporting infrastructure, such as suitable areas for renewable and low carbon energy sources, or flood alleviation infrastructure.
The housing category includes general housing (including market and / or affordable homes), self-build and custom schemes Gypsy and Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation, student accommodation, accommodation for older people, or a mix of housing types.
If you wish to suggest a new site, or to amend the details of a previously submitted site for the SLAA and/or the Brownfield Register please complete and then submit the below Site Nomination Form to the Council.
If you do not want to use the above online form, you can email the Planning Policy Team and we can send you a Microsoft Word version of the form to complete and return. The completed form and a site plan (1:1250 or 1:2500 in scale), with the boundaries of the site clearly outlined, should both be submitted as attachments in an email to planningpolicy@runnymede.gov.uk or posted to:

Please note that although the Call for Sites period runs between Monday 7 September 2026 and Monday 12 October 2026, Runnymede Borough Council may still accept site submissions outside of this period. However, any submissions outside of the formal Call for Sites period may only be considered as part of the next iteration of the SLAA, which will be produced as the Local Plan progresses.
New Local Plan Scoping Consultation Q & A sessions
During the 2026 Call for Sites, the Council is offering a limited number of 45-minute Q & A sessions where developers/agents can ask officers about the Scoping Consultation on the New Local Plan.
Please note this cannot be used to obtain pre-application/site specific advice and we will need to know in advance of meeting the main areas / topics you would like to discuss with us so officers can prepare appropriately.
