Egham and Staines Conservation Volunteers meet once a fortnight throughout the year in the Runnymede and Spelthorne areas. We perform a variety of tasks, all aimed at improving the local environment.

Make a difference for nature and people. Remove invasive species and encourage native ones. Introduce the next generation to the benefits fo green space.

Autumn programme

6 September 2026 - Splash pond

With Spelthorne, we’ll be helping to revive the pond for nature - part 1. Parking in the parking area at the end of Old Charlton Road.

20 September 2026  - Hare hill

With local wardens, we’ll be assisting with keeping the open space habitats thriving. Parking in Howards Lane.

4 October 2026 - Splash pond and Nutty wood

With Spelthorne, we’ll be helping to revive the pond for nature - part 2. Plus, working on the path through Nutty wood. Parking in the parking area at the end of Old Charlton Road.

18 October 2026 - The Ranges

Maintaining the site and possibly starting coppicing if the willows are ready. Parking in the field or Docket Eddy Lane (weather depending).

1 November 2026 - Splash pond

With Spelthorne, we’ll be helping to revive the pond for nature - part 1. Parking in the parking area at the end of Old Charlton Road.

15 November 2026 - Laleham pond

More tasks around the pond. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond.

29 November 2026 - Splash pond

With Spelthorne, we’ll be helping to revive the pond for nature - part 1. Parking in the parking area at the end of Old Charlton Road.

13 December 2026 - The Ranges

Continuing coppicing. Parking in the field or Docket Eddy Lane (weather depending).
