What we learnt
The purpose of informing residents and consulting with them was to give participants the opportunity to express their views, on what we recognised may have a negative impact on their current parking, and perhaps storage, arrangements.
We received 25 emails from residents to the dedicated Listening inbox, and 6 residents came and talked to us at the consultation events.
Comments consisted of:
- Suggestions of increasing security at garage sites
- Concerns of a lack of alternative parking and storage facilities available
- The issue of safety and anti-social behaviour in garage sites
- Residents were keen for us to consider redevelopment that meet existing needs, such as storage units and parking.
