Public Register of complaints about Councillors

If a complaint is made about a Councillor, the broad details of the complaint will be listed but without the names of the individuals concerned or any personal information from which an individual could be identified unless otherwise directed by a meeting of the Standards Hearings Sub-Committee. This list will be maintained in accordance with the Local Assessment of Complaints and Review Procedures adopted by this Council.

The personal information held in the records which are used to update the register is processed in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Entries and other related documentation is securely destroyed 7 years after a Councillor ceases to hold office. Where there is a gap in the sequence below this indicates that the record has been destroyed in line with our document retention schedule.
