Changes to services

Runnymede Pleasure Grounds

The A308 Windsor Road from the roundabout along the length of Runnymede Fields and towards Windsor will be closed from 6am on Monday 19 September 2022 until mid-late afternoon. As a result, the Council-run Runnymede Pleasure Grounds car park will be closed from 5pm on Saturday until Monday late afternoon.

Bin collections

As a mark of respect to our Queen, Elizabeth II, Runnymede Borough Council will be suspending all collections of refuse, food, and garden waste on the day of Her Majesty’s funeral, Monday 19 September 2022. 

We will be rescheduling all routes due on Monday 19 September 2022 to the earlier date of Saturday 17 September 2022.   

As some of the roads impacted are close to our borders with Windsor and in anticipation of significant traffic in the area this weekend, we plan to collect early on this occasion to ensure we complete the round in good time.  

Ensure your waste, recycling, and garden waste bins are out for collection from 5.00am on Saturday 17 September 2022.  

We hope to collect from all scheduled roads but if for any reason we are unable to collect from your road please put your bins out on Tuesday 20 September 2022. Delayed garden waste collections will be collected from Tuesday 20 - Friday 23 September 2022.
