Egham and Staines Conservation Volunteers meet once a fortnight throughout the year in the Runnymede and Spelthorne areas. We perform a variety of tasks, all aimed at improving the local environment.

Make a difference for nature and people. Remove invasive species and encourage native ones. Introduce the next generation to the benefits fo green space.

Winter programme

14 January 2024 - St Anns

Working with Runnymede, clearing invasive laurel and rhododendron from the slopes. Parking in the old coach road car park. Location: KT16 9NW (nearest)


28 January 2024 - The Ranges

Continuing coppicing the willows and bringing back into rotation. Parking in Docket Eddy Road (avoiding double yellow lines). Location: TW17 9NT (nearest)


11 February 2024 - Laleham Pond

Planting replacement trees, now that the pipeline access has gone. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond. Location: TW18 1RU (nearest)


25 February 2024 - The Ranges

Continuing coppicing the willows harvest. Parking in Docket Eddy Road (avoiding double yellow lines). Location: TW17 9NT (nearest)


10 March 2024 - Laleham Pond

More work in and around this pond for wildlife. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond. Location: TW18 1RU (nearest)

With the local wardens, clearing fallen trees and removing invasive sycamore saplings. Location: KT15 1ET (nearest)
