Children and Young People

We provide a range of activities for children and young people in the Runnymede area.

These activities include sports courses after school and during school holidays and representing our Borough in the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games.

Children's Centres in Runnymede

Sure Start Children's centres give advice and support to parents and carers.

Children's Centre services can help from pregnancy right through to reception class at primary school. Surrey County Council manage the children's centres and you can find more information on their website.

Youth Centres in Runnymede

Surrey County Council has two youth centres in Runnymede.

Addlestone Youth Centre:

Mondays - Senior Drop In (Years 9 -11) 7pm - 9pm (currently closed due to staff shortages - trying to open in the next month).

Wednesdays - Junior Drop In ( Years 7 and 8) 6pm - 8pm.

From Easter those in Year 6 will be eligible to attend Junior sessions.

Egham Youth Centre:

Tuesdays - Tuesday Club (SEND Group for 15 - 22 year olds) - 7pm - 9pm.

There are currently no youth work sessions running at either Englefield Green Youth Centre or Chertsey Youth Centre.

Every November, Thorpe Park Resort sees 950 year six Runnymede pupils through its doors to take part in the Junior Citizen programme.
The service is provided by us in conjunction with the Runnymede Business Partnership, whose members include local businesses, Chambers of Commerce, schools, colleges and Surrey Police.
