Performance management involves setting goals and targets against which we monitor the council's progress. We also take part in the Local Government Association's Peer Challenge programme.
This helps us to

- identify achievements
- tackle poor performance
- be accountable to our customers
How do we manage performance?
We have a performance management framework that we use to monitor our
- financial position
- key corporate performance/activity indicators
We submit reports on the above to our corporate management committee.
Our senior managers and associated committees also formally monitor performance at a business centre/department level against business centre plans.
