Queries about candidates should be directed to the candidate or their agent in the first instance as they are responsible for distribution of their election publicity and other materials. Council staff are unable to provide further information on candidates other than the information shown here.
Information for electors
Applications to register to vote at these elections have now closed. Applications for future elections can still be made at the register to vote website. Poll cards have been sent out and should have been received from 28 March for existing electors and will be sent from 17 April for new electors.
The deadline to apply for, change, or cancel a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 18 April. You can apply for a postal vote by downloading and returning the, which we must receive by 5pm on Wednesday 18 April. Postal votes for existing postal voters will be dispatched around 19 April, with those for new applicants being sent the following week.
If you need to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf at these elections, please use the forms available at the proxy voting information page managed by the Electoral Commission. Different forms are needed for different people. Proxy applications must be received by the Electoral Services department no later than 5pm on Wednesday 25 April.
