In 2023, the Council commissioned a study to refine and update our greenhouse gas emissions baseline as part of the Council’s Climate Change Strategy. This report provides the most accurate data possible against which to monitor decarbonisation actions and progress against targets in pursuit of operational Carbon Net Zero by 2030 and borough-wide Carbon Net Zero by 2050. The Council’s operational greenhouse gas emissions inventory for the year 2019/20, 2020/21, and 2021/22 can be found on pages 19-26.
