Household Support Fund

HUGGG vouchers

Funding has been made available by the Department for Works and Pensions to support Surrey residents who are most in need and struggling to afford food and household bills.

Part of this funding has been set aside specifically for most households where someone has a disability or caring responsibilities.

The criteria for receiving a voucher included:

  • Class I or Class U council tax exemption. This is where the residents are away receiving care, or the dwelling is occupied solely by persons who are severely mentally impaired.
  • Or where our council tax support (cts) records indicate Carers Allowance or Armed Forces Independence Payment or Severe Disablement Allowance was in payment in October 2022 and the allowance/payment and cts remained in payment.

We have identified those residents who qualify and will send a Huggg voucher worth £130.

If you have received a letter follow the instructions to redeem your Huggg voucher valid at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Aldi, Iceland or Waitrose stores
