Street Trading

Street trading is the selling, or offering for sale, of any article from a mobile van or stall from a fixed location in a street.

A street trader can sell any article which includes hot and cold food such as burgers, kebabs, or doughnuts and soft (non alcoholic) drinks.

In Runnymede, street trading is only allowed in the following location.  There is an application process and you will only be allowed to trade if you apply to us and if we give you permission having considered your application.

You do not need a licence to hand out promotional leaflets for a business.  However, you must not obstruct the flow of pedestrians and or traffic.

The Broadway, New Haw

At the eastern service road adjacent to the street, from the northern boundary of the Black Prince Public House for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction.  See the pdf icon The Broadway Street Trading Location [315kb] for more information.

Street trading is not allowed on any other publicly maintainable street or public highway in the borough.  This includes St Peter's Way, Chertsey.

To apply to trade

If you wish to apply to trade in the location at The Broadway, New Haw, you can download an application form.  Please complete and return it either by post to the address at the end of the application form or by e-mail.
