  • Q1: Are there any vacant plots?

    A:

    All of the Council managed sites have open waiting lists. If you would like to be added to a waiting list, please complete the allotment waiting list form.

  • Q2: How much does an allotment cost?

    A:

    From 1 April 2017 the cost of an allotment is £18 per 25 square metres (rod) per year, reduced to £15.60 for payment by direct debit. There is a 50% discount for anyone who is aged 60 or over before 1 April 2016 (proof of age will be required). There is also a key deposit of £10.

  • Q3: What is a rod?

    A:

    A rod is a unit of measurement traditionally used for allotment plots. One rod is approx. 25 square metres, five rods is approx. 125 square metres, and 10 rods is approx. 250 square metres.

  • Q4: What is the standard size of a plot?

    A:

    Most plots in Runnymede are between five and 10 rods (125 and 250 square metres), however, the standard plot size is five rods.
