  • Apply for planning permission

    The quickest and easiest way to apply for planning permission is on the Planning Portal website.

  • View and object or support an application

    You can use the planning application search or Runnymede's interactive mapping service (Maps) to look at current and historical planning applications. You can also comment on current planning applications.

  • Planning advice

    Find out if you need planning permission, how to get advice from one of our Planning Officers, information on dropped kerbs, and answers to the most frequently asked questions.

  • Planning policy and local plan

    The Planning Policy Team is responsible for preparing the Council's planning policies and proposals to guide the future development of the Borough. If you would like to be kept up to date with occasional mail regarding local plan progress and to be contacted for consultation on the local plan, please enter your details via the sign-up form.

  • Planning enforcement

    The Council has a statutory duty to investigate planning enforcement complaints, but has sole discretion as to whether to instigate formal enforcement action in each case.

  • Building Control

    Runnymede Building Control is a member of the Surrey Building Control Partnership

  • Works to trees and hedges

    Applications for works to trees and hedges can be submitted online via the Planning Portal. Please read the validation document before completing the application form and make sure that all the required supporting documents are submitted with your application. All applications are subject to current local, regional and national planning policies.

    Information on local searches that are carried out on property or land and how you can submit a search.
