The Council has produced an Urban Area Character Appraisal.
Urban area character appraisal (September 2009)
The character appraisal is part of the evidence base underpinning the council's emerging Local Development Framework core strategy. At a strategic level it is intended to guide urban design policy formulation for new development and improvements to the built environment of Runnymede.
The appraisal identifies the key components which contribute to the local character of each urban area. It highlights their negative aspects and also the future development opportunities to manage, maintain and improve the built environment, positively contributing to local identity and a sense of place.
