Stay active, stay fit, stay healthy

Leisure activities for the over 55s in Runnymede, including transport from our social centres for swimming, walking, gym and other sociable fitness activities.

This initiative has been designed to help the over 55s stay active and independent. We hope the activities will also encourage more people to visit our social centres, which are a great meeting place and they have lots of activities and advice on various issues available.

Swimming

Transport service to the River Bourne Health Club, Chertsey. The sessions cost £3.50 (first session free) and run from each of the social centres in Runnymede:

  • Tuesdays from the Woodham & New Haw Centre, 10.15am
  • Wednesdays from the Manor Farm Centre, 9.50am (Plus chaperone service)
  • Fridays from the Eileen Tozer Centre, 9.15am

Milon Gym Circuit

Free transport is provided from the Eileen Tozer Centre to the River Bourne Health Club to use their specialist Milon circuit equipment exclusively for one hour. This session costs £3.50 paid directly to the River Bourne upon arrival.

  • Mondays from the Eileen Tozer Centre, pick up 10.15am.

Egham Orbit Gym Circuit

A new session at Egham Orbit starts Thursday 3 November. A one hour instructor led circuit specifically for Manor Farm Centre clients.

Meet at Egham Orbit for an 11am start, £3.50 payable on arrival. Booking required by calling Egham Orbit on 01784 437695 or with the instructor after the session. 

  • Thursdays for Manor Farm Centre clients (meet at Egham Orbit), 11am to noon.  

Walking

The Healthy Walks group meet every Monday for a 45-90 minute walk at sites around Runnymede.
The walk is a great way to see the area, stay fit, and meet new people.

  • Meet Mondays at Manor Farm Centre, Egham at 10am.

Additional walks are also available through the Runnymede Walking For Health scheme.

Outdoor Gym

Don't forget our free to use outdoor gyms in Victory Park, Addlestone and Hythe Park, Egham Hythe.

Get Active 50+

Runnymede are offering a wide variety of sports and activities throughout the Borough through the Get Active 50+ scheme.
