Your opinions will help Council set future direction

In Summer 2020, Runnymede Borough Council is due to launch its new Corporate Business Plan for 2020-2024.

To help us set the direction and draw up our priorities for the next four years, we are asking the views of our community on Council-related topics through surveys and focus groups during October and November this year.

Hard copies of the survey can be collected from the Civic Centre in Addlestone, or call 01932 838383, and a copy can be posted to you. As a thank you we will randomly select one responder from each survey to receive a One4all multi-store gift voucher, which are accepted by thousands of shops and over 130 high street brands. (Terms and conditions for the prize draws apply, see download.)

Focus groups

We will be running several focus groups in October and November.  If you are interested in taking part and haven't already, sign up to our Citizens' Panel.

Delivering for local people

During the last Corporate Business Plan consultation, you asked for a swimming pool, gym facilities, and a cinema. We have since delivered a new state-of-the-art leisure centre, a new gym in Addlestone and a new six-screen Light Cinema in Addlestone. A four-screen cinema is planned for Egham as part of a major regeneration project for the town.

A Council spokesman said: "We are ambitious for the future of the Borough. We want to improve the quality of life for local people through supporting a vibrant Borough with its own identity and which our communities can be proud.

"Our Corporate Business Plan is being developed amidst considerable political change nationally which will impact on our situation locally.  We therefore also need an ability to be flexible so that we can react to new challenges as they occur.

"We will continue to punch above our weight to support the Borough, and we fully recognise guidance from residents and businesses will enable us to do this to the best effect."
