Runnymede Youth Councillors have now joined the British Youth Council (BYC), meaning that they will now have the opportunity to attend Youth Conventions, take part in the ASDAN accredited Youth Voice Award and support and support National initiatives organised by the BYC. Welcome to the Runnymede Youth Council's website.
The Youth Council is open to all young people aged 11-19 years, living or attending school or college in the borough.
It's a great opportunity to represent your school or organisation at a borough level.
Runnymede Youth Council is a great opportunity to get the voice of young people in Runnymede heard by the Borough Councillors, County Councillors and everyone living or working in the Borough and surrounding area.
We aim to make Runnymede a better and safer area for young people to live, work, play and go to school/college. The way we aim to do this is to invite you the young people of Runnymede to join the Youth Council.
We are looking for at least two young people per youth group, sports club or school/college to represent themselves or their organisation. Anyone can join as long as they are aged between 11 & 19 and live or go to school/college in Runnymede and would like to make their voice heard.
We meet on the first Monday each month at the Runnymede Civic Centre in Addlestone. For further information please refer to our Constitution.
